Entering Welcome Title

Prerequisites: Users require site administrator permissions to complete this task.

Site administrators enter the welcome title.

Users view the welcome title and message when they first navigate to the Cartella site and log in. Displaying an effective welcome title positively influences the user's initial impression of the Cartella site.

To enter a welcome title:
  1. Log in to Cartella.
    The Cartella site home view displays.
  2. Click the welcome title area.

    Click Welcome Title

    Note
    Hovering over the welcome area displays the edit icon and the following tool-tip text:
    Click to edit 'WelcomeTitle'
    Note
    If no site administrator enters a title in the welcome title area, the following text displays to Cartella users: 
    CLICK TO ENTER YOUR WELCOME TITLE
    Important
    If the site administrator deletes the title, no title text displays to users.
    The welcome title XHTML editor dialog displays.
  3. Enter a title in the XHTML editor dialog. Use the XHTML editor to add formatting, links, media, and view the HTML source code.

    Enter Welcome Title

  4. Click Save.
    The title displays in the welcome title area.
