Resetting Color Themes

Prerequisites: CMS 10.6 must be installed by a system administrator. See CMS Statistics to check the site version.

In Ingeniux CMS 10.6, administrators can "reset" colors within a theme. The reset simultaneously replaces all of the theme colors with another theme's color settings. Keep in mind that the system maintains the original color theme name after the reset.
Warning
The color theme reset is irreversible. To avoid losing your previous color settings, consider downloading a backup copy of the color theme before executing the reset. See Downloading Color Themes for details.

To reset the colors within a theme:

  1. Navigate to Administration > System Options > CMS > Theme Picker.
  2. Click the Select Default Theme icon.

    Select Default Theme Icon

  3. Choose one of the following steps:
    • Use the current default theme (i.e., no action is needed for this step).
    • Select a theme from the Default Theme drop-down list without selecting the Confirm Default checkmark () icon.

      Select Default Theme Icon

The user will copy the colors from this theme to the to-be-reset theme.
  4. Select a color theme in the Theme drop-down list. The user will reset this theme.
The color theme displays in Theme Picker.

    Select Existing Theme

  5. Click the Reset Current Theme arrow () icon between the Default Theme and Theme colors.

    Select Default Theme Icon

    The Reset Theme dialog displays.

    Select Default Theme Icon

  6. Click Yes to reset the color theme. The system copies the colors from the theme in the default area to the theme on the right-hand side of the arrow icon.
    Important
If you save the color reset and if the theme is not in Draft mode, then the system will implement the reset color changes when users select this theme via their profile settings. If the user has the theme selected when you reset the colors, then the UI updates to display the changes upon the user refreshing their CMS. Keep this in mind to avoid unintentionally resetting color themes available to users.
  7. Click Save to confirm the color reset. The system saves the color changes to the theme.
