Pasting Pages as Clones from Master Source

Prerequisites:

You may need to add pages to the master region root and paste their cloned pages to translate content via WorldView.

Only administrators can paste master pages as clones.

Important
The new clone page cannot have the same region root as its master page or a mapped sibling cloned page. For example, if the master page maps to a Spanish (Mexico) clone page, Ingeniux CMS prevents the master page from mapping to additional Spanish (Mexico) clone pages. If the master page associates with English (United States), then the master page cannot map to an English (United States) clone page.
To paste a page as a clone from the master region root into a cloned region root:
  1. Navigate to Site > Site Tree.
  2. Create a page in the master region root.
  3. Right-click the new page. The page's context menu displays.

    Copy Page

  4. Click Copy in the context menu.
  5. Navigate to the region root folder where you want to paste the new cloned page.
  6. Right-click the containing folder. The folder's context menu displays.

Paste as Clone with or without Children

  7. Choose one of the following steps:
    • Click Paste as Clone. The cloned page and children display within the cloned region root.
    • Version Notes: CMS 10.5
Click Paste as Clone without Children. This option displays if the page to be pasted has children. If selected, only the cloned page displays within the cloned region root.
    Tip
After you paste and check in the clone(s) in the region root, the Properties tab for both the master and cloned pages update to reflect the master-clone relationship.

Next Steps: Translate the cloned page fields to the appropriate language (e.g., translate from English to Spanish).
