DITA Open Toolkit Parameters
DITA administrators can modify the DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT) behavior by setting options on parameter settings. Access these parameters from the Common Parameters and Advanced Parameters tabs.

Common Parameters
The Common Parameters tab provides the parameters for the following:
- General
- General parameters apply to all DITA transformation output formats supported by the DITA-OT. The Common Parameters tab displays the most common parameters. See DITA-OT: Common Parameters for details about each parameter.
- PDF parameters apply to only DITA PDF transformation output format types. The Common Parameters tab displays the most common PDF parameters. See DITA-OT: PDF Parameters for details about each parameter.
Advanced Parameters
The Advanced Parameters tab provides a list parameters that currently apply to CMS DITA-OT transformations. Parameter list details include:
- Name
- The DITA-OT name of the parameter.
- Output Format(s)
- The DITA-OT output formats where the parameter applies. If the Output Format(s) entry lists common, this indicates the parameter applies to most (if not all) DITA output formats.
- Value
- The value currently set for the applied parameter.
If a parameter does not display in the list, DITA administrators can access the Add DITA-OT Parameters dialog to browse additional parameters to add. This dialog provides a broader list of available DITA-OT parameter options.
