Analytics Tab


The Analytics tab provides the page's analytic summary, reports, and content analysis.

Report Range displays analytics data within a specific time frame.

To set a region range:
  1. Enter the Start Date and End Date in the appropriate fields.
  2. Click Apply. Analytics displays within the specific time frame.

Content Summary

Page Summary provides a line chart of the page's daily visits and page views.
To view a specific chart statistic:
  • Hover over the desired data point. A callout box displays with specific stats.

Page Reports

Page Reports provides a pie chart of external and internal sources for page views. The Page Reports list displays the page view source, medium (e.g., organic, referral), and total page views per source.
To view a specific pie chart statistic:
  • Hover over the desired pie area. A callout box displays with specific stats.

Content Analysis

Content Analysis provides pie charts of page views by requested paths, page titles, and paths including query string parameters.

Enabling Analytics

After navigating to Site > Analytics tab, you may encounter the No Data Available message. This means that you need to enable analytics before you can configure it.

To enable and configure analytics:
  1. Navigate to AdministrationPublishing SystemPublishing Targets.
  2. Select the appropriate publishing target from the Name list.
  3. Ensure that the Info tab has been selected.
  4. Select the Enable Analytics for Publishing Target checkbox.

  5. Select your analytics provider from the Data Provider drop-down list.
    Note
    Choosing Google Analytics Provider from the list makes it possible to connect a Google Analytics account to the DSS site to which the publishing target will be replicated.
  6. Click Save. Now Analytics has been configured and is ready for use.
  7. Navigate to Site.
  8. In Site's Navigation Pane, select the publishing target that you enabled for analytics.
  9. Click the Analytics tab and follow the instructions that now display on this tab.
