Restoring RavenDB.Client 5.2.101 NuGet Package

Restore the RavenDB.Client 5.2.101 NuGet package for CMS 10.5.128+ instances.


Description

Dependency conflicts may occur when upgrading the DSS Preview project to CMS 10.5.128+. If conflicts occur, the rebuild may successfully complete without issues. However, the following error displays for DSS Preview within the CMS:

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

Requirements

  • CMS 10.5.128+ must be installed.
  • Users require system administrator permissions to access the CMS environment.

Step-by-Step

To reinstall the RavenDB.Client 5.2.101 NuGet package:

  1. Navigate to [Drive]:\[path-to-cms-dt-site-root-directory]\site\DSS_Preview\.
  2. Open Dynamic_Site_Server_Instance.csproj in Visual Studio.
  3. Select Tools > NuGet Package Manager > Manage NuGet Packages for Solution, and select the Installed tab.
  4. Enter RavenDB.Client in the search field, and select the NuGet package in the returned results.
  5. Expand Options for the RavenDB.Client package, and select the Force uninstall... checkbox in the Uninstall Options section.

  6. Select your current RavenDB.Client version, and select Uninstall.

    The system uninstalls the RavenDB.Client NuGet package.

  7. Select the Browse tab in NuGet Package Manager, and search for RavenDB.Client.
  8. Select 5.2.101 in the Version drop-down list for RavenDB.Client, and select Install.

    The system installs the selected RavenDB.Client version.

  9. Rebuild the DSS Preview project.
  10. Navigate to your CMS site instance, and access the DSS Preview tab to ensure the error no longer displays.
