Standards

Treat the Ingeniux Forum community with respect. The Ingeniux Forum is a place to share skills, knowledge, and ideas through ongoing conversation.

Use the following guidelines to keep this an enlightened, productive space for civilized discourse.

  • Be welcoming and open-minded. Other forum users may not have the experience or background you do, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have good ideas to contribute.
  • Respect each other. Don’t be rude, offensive, or abusive to other users. Practice being respectful, which will promote civil discourse.
  • Communicate with empathy. If you disagree with someone, try to understand their perspective and feelings before you address them. This will promote a respectful space for people to contribute.
  • Contribute in a positive and constructive way. Focus on solving problems. If you are not sure your post adds to the discussion in a constructive way, think it over and try again later.
  • Be clear and stay on topic. It can be hard to convey tone or sarcasm when communicating with strangers online. Try to use clear language and think about how it will be received by the other person.
  • Keep it tidy. Don’t post typos, messy, or confusing content. Title and categorize your posts thoughtfully.
  • Be trustworthy and honest. Don’t knowingly share incorrect information or intentionally mislead other users. If you don’t know the answer, refrain from commenting and wait for a forum moderator or other contributor to comment.
