CMS 10.6: DITA Dependency Tab Filters Use Different Sorting Methods

In CMS 10.6 DITA Properties, the "Direct" and "All" dependency filters sort "Depends On" and "Used By" tab list entries differently. The "Direct" filter sorts dependencies alphabetically and the "All" filter sorts them by distance, ID, and type.

Statement of Issue

The CMS 10.6 Direct Dependents and All Dependents filters sort the list entries in the Depends On tab differently. The Direct Dependents filter arranges entries alphabetically, while the All Dependents filter arranges them based on distance, type, and ID number. This same sorting discrepancy occurs when applying the Direct Usage References and All Usage References filters in the Used By tab.

Resolution

An upcoming CMS release will resolve this issue.

Workaround

You can change the sorting order of the list entries by clicking the column headers. An arrow will display on the selected column header to indicate the current sorting order.
