CMS 10.6: Exporting Site with Content Freeze May Fail Because of Non-Permissioned User

If an administrator uses a site export under a content freeze, the setup process of the new CMS site may fail if the same user account is not provided as the initial user during the configuration of the Ingeniux CMS Site Setup Wizard.


Statement of Issue

If an administrator creates a site export while Ingeniux CMS is under a content freeze where only a specific user is allowed access, then the new site—where the site export is applied—may fail if the same user account is not provided as the initial user during the configuration of the Ingeniux CMS Site Setup Wizard. An error occurs during configuration, similar to the following:

1: Error when creating Ingeniux.CMS.ContentFreezeException: Cannot open session with current user. CMS site is currently in Content Freeze State.

Resolution

This issue will be addressed in a future release.

Workaround

If you require a site export with a content freeze in place, be sure to add the Administrators group as the allowed group for access before creating the site export.
