CMS 10.6: Robocopy Replication Progress Bar May Appear Stuck at 100% or Above
The CMS 10.6 Robocopy replication progress bar may appear stuck at the "100%" or above status in the Publishing Monitor.
Statement of Issue
In the CMS 10.6 Publishing Monitor, the progress bar for a Robocopy replication may display at or above 100%. The replication task appears to not complete, holding other publishes in the queue.
Symptoms
In the Publishing Monitor, the progress bar for an ongoing Robocopy replication task may display as stuck at 100% or a value above 100%. The task runs longer than usual, and other publshes are subsequently held in the queue.
The CSAPI debug logs may indicate that Robocopy file copies are still ongoing. In most cases, the Robocopy replication completes but takes longer than previous Robocopy replications.
Resolution
No resolution is available. This issue appears to result from a Robocopy file change detection, which runs more file-level checks than usual between the publishing source and replication target.
An upcoming CMS release will resolve this issue.
Workaround
If you experience a long-running Robocopy replication that prevents queued publshing tasks from processing, recycle the CMS application pool to stop the replication. After the recycle, re-enqueue the publishes. A single site incremental publish will pick up all subsequent content changes from previously queued publishes.
Additional Information
The issue affects publishing targets configured for Robocopy replication and occurs intermittently.
