Statement of Issue

For CMS 10.6.308 sites with responsive components, the thumbnails of presentation component content units are generated with a breakpoint width typically used for mobile devices like tablets, rather than desktop. This may cause confusion for users who plan to apply the component unit in In-Context Editing (ICE) mode. They might assume, based on the thumbnail, they are not using the correct version of the component unit for desktop responsive design.

Resolution

For desktop preview, remember the responsive component unit does not render with the width indicated by its corresponding thumbnail.
