CMS 10.6.492: SAML Authentication Login Error Due to Invalid DLL License

A packaged library licensing error prevents users from logging using a SAML membership provider on CMS 10.6.492 sites after 30 days from upgrade.

Statement of Issue

After a period of time a .NET error,  caused by a licensing issue with a third-party library, prevents users from logging in to CMS 10.6.492 sites configured with a SAML membership provider.

Symptoms

When users attempt to log in to the CMS site using a configured SAML provider, a .NET error displays indicating that a trial period has expired (30 days from time of first SAML authentication attempt). This errror prevents SAML users from logging in to the CMS. Integrated accounts can still authenticate to the CMS.

Resolution

CMS 10.6.498 resolves this issue. Consider upgrading.

This issue has been resolved with CMS build 10.6.498, which supercedes the 10.6.492 initial release. We strongly recommend customers using SAML membership provider for CMS authentication to upgrade to this release. Contact Ingeniux Support for any additional questions.

Additional Notes

This error only affects CMS 10.6.492 sites with a SAML membership provider configured for authentication.
