Applied Administration: Site Configuration in Ingeniux CMS 10.6

Follow along as we configure an Ingeniux CMS 10.6 implementation from the ground up in the Administration section of the platform.

Content Organization
Set up the Site Tree, Asset Tree, and Taxonomy Categories using strong organizational paradigms in anticipation of security settings and page creation rules.

Users/Groups: Permissions
Prepare permission groups for end users in accordance with best practices, creating separate groups for permissions, security, and workflow. Then, assign groups to work in certain specific of the CMS.

Users/Groups: Workflow
Prepare workflow groups to control the flow of content through our CMS. We'll create workflows in this video as well, setting up separate ones for pages, components, and assets.

Page Creation Rules (PCRs)
Page Creation Rules control the creation of new pages and components in the Site Tree. PCRs maintain the integrity of the information architecture and ensures users can create the necessary content types.

Configuring Asset Schema Rules
Asset schema rules are applied to control the types of assets users can upload, how large they can be, how many versions we keep in history, and into which workflow they will be placed.

Configuring System Options
System Options are a crucial part of controlling how the CMS works. We'll demonstrate how to configure this part of the Administration section, with special emphasis on the right-click context menus for the Site Tree and Asset Tree.

Configuring XHTML Editor Controls by Group
The XHTML Editor, also referred to as TinyMCE or WYSIWYG, menu controls can be configured on a group-by-group basis. We'll demonstrate how to restrict menu controls for certain groups of users.

Adding and Testing New Users
In this video, we'll create a new user in the CMS and use them to test our configurations from previous episodes: permissions, security, workflow, and menu configurations.

Setting Up Maintenance Reports
In our final video, we'll set up reports on content in the CMS that will provide users with data on content that is coming into and going out of the platform. We'll also demonstrate how to set up email notifications that will send users a synopsis of their content contributions on a weekly basis.
