Watch these videos to learn how administrators in the CMS can configure InSite Search to improve and target search results using Indexing, Boosting, Synonyms, and Keymatch.

Ingeniux InSite Search is a powerful, native search application available with Ingeniux CMS. ISS leverages the semantic XML structure of content, taxonomy, and metadata to improve the speed and quality of search results for websites, portals, and apps implemented in Ingeniux CMS.

InSite Search is configured and managed in the Administration section of the CMS. Here, you can configure indexing settings, boost content, and set up synonyms and keymatch.

This series of video tutorials will show you how administrators in the CMS can configure InSite Search to improve and target search results.

Indexing
When a piece of content is indexed, it means the CMS will include that content in search results. Content can be indexed for inclusion in all search results or segmented by publishing target. Administrators can choose to include or exclude page types, components, schema fields, and assets from search results in the Indexing section of InSite Search.

Boosting
When a piece of content is boosted, it means the CMS will prioritize that content in search results. Administrators can choose to boost pages or schema fields in search results in the Boosting section of InSite Search.

Synonyms
When end users search for content, they may not use the exact same terminology used in the content on your website. Administrators can create lists of synonyms to increase the accuracy of search results, regardless of the terminology used in the query.

Keymatch
Keymatch enables the display of targeted content at the top of relevant search results. For example, if a university wishes to promote a new study abroad program to prospective students, they may wish to favor content about the program in search results pertaining to study abroad. Administrators can configure keymatch settings to display specific content at the top of search results regardless of boost status.
