What’s New?
The AI module is powered through a connection to an external service hosted by Ingeniux, providing authorized access to the Ingeniux-provided ChatGPT account. This connection is facilitated through the service's endpoint, hosted by Ingeniux.
The feature is implemented in the CMS as an external module, which means it's powered by a connection to an external service, hosted and authorized by Ingeniux. As a result, once customers have upgraded to Ingeniux CMS 10.6 or above, no further upgrades will be required to take advantage of the module or any new features that are added to it in the future.
The module is the first AI feature Ingeniux has introduced to the platform, with many more planned in the product roadmap.
How It’s Used in the CMS
Once added to the CMS as a custom application, the first step CMS Administrators will take is to configure and secure the module for use in the platform.
After this first step is complete, users in the CMS can access the new AI functionality on plain text and WYSIWYG elements on pages, components, and assets. Content authors in the CMS will be able to use AI-powered content generation tools and prompts to generate new content and enhance existing content for accuracy, clarity, and intention.
Why It’s Important
The AI module is important for several reasons. It offers a seamless integration of AI-powered content generation and enhancement directly within the CMS, streamlining the content creation process. This integration provides users with a powerful tool to improve the quality and efficiency of their content, helping them achieve their goals more effectively.
This new tool can prove extremely useful for content that might normally prove challenging (or a bit tedious) for a content contributor to a website, such as meta descriptions, keywords, categorization recommendations, and abstracts.
Impact on Users
Administrators
Administrators can manage who has access to the AI module and configure permission groups. They can create the custom tab in the CMS for displaying the AI module and adjust access rights.
In future iterations, Administrators will be able to monitor and control the use of the AI module to ensure it aligns with organizational goals.
Content Creators
The many benefits for content creators have by now been made clear. Once the module is added and configured, they’ll have the ability to use AI-generated content on almost all text fields in the CMS, streamlining their content writing, editing, categorization, and optimization processes.
Developers
Developers may need to assist in the initial setup of the AI module by configuring the custom tab for CMS Administrators.
