CMS 10.6: Site Tree Content Items Allow DITA Aliases with Different Locales as Children
DITA aliases do not adhere to the WorldView settings of their parent Site Tree content item/folder in CMS 10.6. If the parent does not allow its child items to have a different region root, the CMS still allows DITA aliases of different region roots to be placed as children of that content item/folder.
Statement of Issue
The CMS permits DITA aliases to reside under Site Tree content items and folders that have a different region root language than the aliases and have the Allowed to have region roots of other languages as children checkbox cleared.
For example, if the parent site page is assigned the en-us locale and does not allow its children to have language region roots other than en-us, the CMS will still allow you to move aliased DITA content with a different region region root (such as fr-ca) under that site page, regardless of the page's WorldView settings.
Resolution
An upcoming CMS release will resolve this issue.
Workaround
When creating or moving DITA alias structures in theSite Tree, ensure you do not place them under Site Tree content items or folders that have a different region root than the aliases and do not allow region roots of other languages.
You can check a content item or asset item's language settings by navigating to its Properties > WorldView tab.
