WorldView Properties
Access WorldView properties to identify the language assignment of a page, component, or folder, and to incorporate localized clones for translation. WorldView is a CMS feature that provides a centralized way to manage language assignments and translation processes for content items. With WorldView, you can customize content so that visitors and contributors can interact with your site in different languages.
Page Language
In WorldView properties, the Page Language value specifies the language used for the page or component content. This is essential for multilingual sites. The Page Language ensures the content is managed within the site structure and is published, replicated, and rendered with the correct language and localization data.
Master and Clone Pages
Master and clone pages are part of translation processes. A master page contains the page content in its original language, while a clone page is a copy created from the master intended for translation. Master and clone pages map and exist in relation to each other (i.e., master pages map to clone pages, and vice versa).
If your content item has master/clone relationships, you can review the them in the Language related page properties section of the WorldView properties tab.
Fields include:
- Master Page
- If the content item is a clone, the item will have a corresponding master page. That master page is specified in this field along with the page's name, xID, language, and lingual code.
- Clone Page(s)
- If the content item serves as a master page and has been cloned, the corresponding clones are listed in this field, along with each clone's page name, xID, language, and lingual code.
- Add Clone(s)
- If you want to create clones for the content item after the initial language
mapping, you can add them using this field.
See Adding Clones for details.
