CMS 10.6.308: Content Creation Wizard Prevents "Drag and Drop" Action

Statement of Issue

In CMS 10.6.308, when you drag a page creation rule (PCR) from the Content Creation Wizard to a parent content item or folder in the Site Tree, the CMS UI prevents you from dropping the PCR in the tree.

Resolution

In the Thumbnails view mode , you can successfully drag and drop PCRs from the Content Creation Wizard.

Workaround

As a workaround, you can apply the PCR to create a content item by completing the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Content Creation Wizard, then open the Site Tree.
2. Double-click the PCR you want to use.
3. Enter the new content item name in the Name field, then click Create in the dialog.

   The Select a Location for Your New Page dialog displays.

4. Choose the parent content item or folder for your new item, then click OK.

   The new content item displays directly under your chosen parent in the Site Tree.
