Viewing Group Permissions on Content Items

How to View Group Permissions on Pages, Components, Folders, and Assets | View group permissions on pages, components, folders, and assets.

Administrators can view the group permissions set on individual pages, components, folders, and assets within Users/Groups. These permissions are not editable from this area of the CMS; rather, they are set via the content menus in either the Site Tree or the Assets Tree. To set group permissions on pages, components, folders and assets, see the Authorization section for details.

To view group permissions on a content item:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Users/Groups > Groups.
  2. Select a group from the Group Name list.
  3. Click the Security Root Pages tab. A table displays the object permissions associated with the group.

    Additional Information:

    The table displays the following information:

    Column Name Description
    Content Item Name Name of the content item that has object permissions associated with the group.

    Tip: Click the name to navigate to the content item.
    ID ID associated with the content item.
    Type Content item type, such as a page, component, site folder, asset folder, or asset item.
    Access Type Type of object permissions associated with the group (e.g., Full Access, Read Only).
