Accessing Replication Logs


Prerequisites:
  • Users must have group permissions to access Publishing Logs. See Publishing Prerequisites for details.
  • Users must execute replication on the publishing target before they can access the target's Replication tab in Publishing Logs. See Adding Replication Targets for details.

Access log data about content and asset items replicated to replication targets.

To access replication logs:
  1. Choose one of the following steps:
    • Navigate to Administration > Publishing Logs.

      This option is only available in CMS 10.6.
    • Navigate to Administration > Publishing Monitor > Publishing Logs, and click View More... in the Recently Completed area.

      In CMS 10.6, clicking View More... opens the publishing logs via Administration > Publishing Logs in the current web browser tab.

      In CMS 10.0–10.5, clicking View More... opens the publishing logs in a new web browser window.

  2. Choose the publishing target in the Select Publishing Target drop-down list.

    By default, CMS 10.6 automatically selects the publishing target currently selected within Site > Site Tree.

  3. Select the Replications tab, and choose the replication target in the Select Replication Target drop-down list.

    The Publish Date pane displays replication sessions by date and time in chronological, descending order.
  4. Select the replication session to view in the Publish Date pane.
    The session's Replication Details and list of replicated content and asset items display.

    In CMS 10.5+, the Replicated field displays the created replicated item total, and the Removed field displays the removed replicated item total. Also, the Start At field displays the start date in addition to the start time.

    In CMS 10.0–10.3, the Replicated field displays the total created and removed replicated item count in the replication log viewer.

  5. Click View Log XML to access the selected publish or replication session's log data in an XML document.
