Decoupled CMS
Ingeniux CMS is designed as a decoupled system. This means that the content management system (Ingeniux CMS) and delivery tier (Ingeniux Dynamic Site Server (DSS)) work independently of each other. The CMS is used for content creation, editing, workflow approvals, and publishing; whereas the DSS is an ASP.NET application for delivering content and applying business rules for personalization, device and channel optimization, and search indexing. The CMS pushes data out into a presentation system, sometimes written in a completely different language or technology. With the decoupled model, users can deliver content to any delivery format via a content API.
While a tightly-coupled CMS architecture may make sense in some situations, most enterprises require a decoupled CMS solution. These enterprises deal with multiple channels and devices, including mobile apps, web-based applications and more. The decoupled model supports the creation of content in a single location and publishing to multiple locations.
