Viewing Live Log Feed
Prerequisites:
- Ingeniux CMS 10.3+ must be installed. See CMS Statistics to check the site version.
- The CMS logging level must be set. See CMS Logging for details.
In Ingeniux CMS 10.3+, users with permissions can view the real-time CSAPI log feed while working in the CMS to troubleshoot issues and monitor operations. The live log viewer feed updates in real time and displays messages based on the selected log level type.
To access and use the live-log feed:
- Navigate to .
- Click the Live Feed button. The live log feed displays in a
new web browser tab. If no log entries exist, the tab displays Waiting for
first log message...TipYou can display the CMS instance and the live log feed windows side-by-side to view the log as you work.
- Complete tasks in the CMS (e.g., check in, check out, or move content items in the
Site or Assets Tree) to log details. Messages immediately display the log level type,
date, time, and description of the action in the live log viewer.Additional Information
To clear live log viewer messages, refresh the web browser tab. To view past messages, navigate to the IGX CMS Design Time Log.
TroubleshootingIf log messages don't display as expected, check the CMS log level to set the appropriate log-level type.
