Each new page or component in the Ingeniux CMS is generated from a schema. The schema defines the types of content that can appear on a given page or component. Essentially, a schema functions as a template for the creation of a new page or component. Thus, before end users can add content to a site, a developer has to build schemas for the site.

Typically, schemas are built during the initial site implementation process. But over time site needs change, and a CMS implementation may require new schemas to generate new page and component types. Schema Designer provides a simple interface for creating and editing schemas.

To access Schema Designer, navigate to the administration pane and click Schema Designer.
