Assets Manager
The Ingeniux CMS provides an interface for uploading documents, media files, images, and other static content. This interface is called the Assets Manager.
In previous versions of the software, the CMS stored assets for you, but they didn't have much functionality for tracking, versioning, and publish management, like pages and components. Ingeniux CMS version 10 extends all of functionality attributed to items in the Site Tree to your assets as well.
Assets are now tracked by ID, each new asset getting the next ID in the system. There are different IDs for folders and assets. Folders have IDs starting with af/ while assets start with a/. A new tree system, much like the Site Tree has been introduced to help organize your assets. Assets are now first class citizens in the CMS, so you can create custom asset schemas in addition to those already included in Schema Designer.
CMS 10.6 provides DITA authoring and publishing features, including the following: and DITA-OT publishing directly from DITA maps in the Assets Manager. This tab caters to CMS sites with DITA implementations.
- DITA Properties tab for asset items. See DITA Properties for details about this tab.
- CMS DITA-OT publishing directly on DITA maps in the Assets Manager.
See DITA Processing Pipeline in Ingeniux CMS for details about DITA and the CMS 10.6 DITA publishing pipeline features.
