Site Tree


The Site Tree pane contains a hierarchical display of content in a CMS site. This content is made up of pages, components, and folders.

Toggle Options

You can use the toggle options at the top of the Site Tree pane to turn on or off icon indicators in the tree or to switch between publishing targets.

Toggle options include:

Toggle Publishing Target Root Markings button
If this toggle option is selected, the publishing target icon displays next to the item designated as the root page for the chosen publishing target. You can choose the target from the drop-down list.
Toggle Region Root Marking button
If this toggle option is selected, the region root icon displays next to Site Tree items specified as the region root for language-specific content.

Region roots can be configured in the Properties > Worldview tab of a content item.

Toggle Document Type Information button
Version Notes: CMS 10.6
This feature is exclusive to CMS 10.6. If the toggle option is selected, the document type (e.g., concept, task, map) displays next to DITA aliases in the tree. This toggle option only applies to CMS implementations using the DITA publishing pipeline and aliases.
Publishing target drop-down list
Select a publishing target from the drop-down list. In the Site Tree, items marked to this publishing target display as bold.
