CMS 10.0–10.5 Comparing Content Unit Versions

Prerequisites:
  • Administrators must complete prerequisites to enable user access to the Design tab. See Page Builder Prerequisites for details.
  • The content unit must be associated with a view saved in the Assets Tree.
  • The content unit must have previous versions.

Compare differences between versions of the same view. Choose any two versions in the Content Unit View Version History dialog to view side by side Comparing Code Versions dialog.

To revert the view to a previous version:
  1. Navigate to Site > Site Tree.
  2. In the Site Tree, select or create a page with the layout you want to edit.
  3. Check out the page.
  4. Click the Design tab. The Design Presentation pane opens to the right of the Design tab workspace.

  5. Click the Content Units area in the Design Presentation pane.

  6. Locate the content unit with the view you wish to edit. Click the Preview Content Unit icon. The Preview Content Unit dialog displays.

  7. Click View Versioning. The Content Unit View Version History dialog displays.

    Click Diff

  8. Click two versions to compare and click Diff. The Comparing Code Versions dialog displays. Ingeniux CMS highlights the code differences in each version.

  9. Optional: If multiple changes exist, use the arrow buttons to navigate between differences.
  10. Click Close when finished.
