Adding FTP/SSL Replication Targets


Prerequisites:
  • See Publishing Prerequisites for details.
  • The replication target must be added. See Adding Replication Targets for details.
  • The administrator must have at least one of the following:
    • Valid values provided by a subject matter expert for required fields.
    • Access to the FTP/SSL server.

System administrators can configure FTP/SSL (File Transfer Protocol using Secure Sockets Layer encryption for security) replication in publishing targets. When performing replication during publish, Ingeniux CMS copies the published files using FTP/SSL.
To set up an FTP/SSL replication target:
  1. Expand the FTP/SSL replication target in the Replication tab.

  2. Configure the following fields:

    The FTP/SSL replication target uses the same basic settings as those for an FTP replication target.
    FieldDescription
    NameThe name of the replication target.
    Description (optional)The description of the replication target.
    UsernameThe username for establishing the FTP/SSL session.
    PasswordThe password for establishing the FTP/SSL session.
    Root PathThe server location to which files will replicate. The root path begins at the root of the FTP/SSL site and uses forward slashes (/) as delimiters. Lead the root path with a forward slash (/). You can create a new folder for the root path.
    FTP Server AddressThe URL of the FTP/SSL server (e.g., ftps://ftps.ingeniux.com).
    PortThe FTP/SSL port number.

Next Steps: Choose one of the following.

  • Click Save in the top right corner of the Manage Publishing Targets pane.
  • Go to Advanced Settings to configure FTP/SSL options, exempt locations, additional locations, cleanup exclusions, and custom commands for the replication target.
