Synonyms

Synonym configuration differs depending on your CMS version, InSite Search version, and Search.config setup.

Review the version information that corresponds with your implementation.

CMS 10.6 Synonyms

Requirements differ depending on your InSite Search version and synonym configuration preferences. You can choose to have users with permissions configure synonyms directly in the CMS 10.6 UI or to have them configure synonyms directly in synonyms.xml. See CMS 10.6 Search.config Synonyms for details.

If your CMS implementation allows users to only configure synonyms directly in CMS 10.6, see CMS 10.6 Synonyms for details.
Note
If you have synonyms configured in synonyms.xml and want to add them to the CMS 10.6 InSite Search UI, you can import them.

InSite Search 2.11+

Users configure synonyms in synonyms.xml.
