CMS 10.6.378 Map Details Drop-Down List

In CMS 10.6.378, you can filter map details, dependencies, and downloads based on the latest version of the map or a particular publishing target where the map is marked. Choose your version filter from the DITA Map Details drop-down list.

DITA Map Details drop-down list filter options include:

Latest Version

Provides map details based on the current content in the DITA map.

Keep in mind if you make and save content changes to the map, the map details in this view will reflect your new changes, no matter if the map is checked in or out.

Name of Publishing Target

Provides only map details for the version of the map marked to the publishing target you selected from the Dependency Version drop-down list. The publish icon displays next to publishing target list options.

Map Info

Map information in DITA Map Details includes:

Content Path

The path to the DITA map in the Assets Manager, starting from the DITA root folder.

Created

The date and time when the DITA map was created in the Assets Manager.

Last Modified

The date and time when the DITA map was last edited.

Coverage

The total amount of dependencies within the DITA map.

In CMS 10.6.378, the Coverage dependency count will correspond with the version filter you choose from the DITA Map Details drop-down list.

If the DITA map has any dependency errors, they will affect the coverage count. See Checking Dependency Errors for details to check and address them.

Last Published

The date and time when the DITA map was last published.

In CMS 10.6.378, the Last Published date and time will correspond with the version filter you choose from the DITA Map Details drop-down list.

For the Latest Version filter, this value reflects the date and time when the DITA map was last published to any publishing target.

For a publishing target version filter, this value reflects the date and time when the DITA map was last published to the target you selected from the drop-down list.

Map Dependency Structure

Users can access a composite view of all asset item dependencies associated with the currently selected DITA map. This view provides the following details about each dependent map and topic:

• @copy-to name (if applicable)
• Checked in/out status
• Publish marking status
• User/group assignments
• Active status (whether the dependency has been moved to the Recycle Folder)

Map Authoring and Publishing Actions

Users can access the Map Details tab to run a single action that simultaneously executes on the map and all the map's dependencies. For example, if a user selects the Check In action in the Map Details tab, then the system will check in the selected map and all dependencies (i.e., Depends-On references) within that map.

Map Download

Users can download the full DITA map and all their dependencies directly from the Map Details tab. The system downloads the files based on their structure in the Assets Manager and makes them available via .zip file. This download only includes the current map and all associated dependencies. The .zip file does not include files outside the map dependents.

Users can apply metadata from field types (e.g., content, categorization, or script-generated fields) to aggregate maps into groups that suit their organizations needs and preferences.
