Configuring Automated Tasks
Prerequisites:
- Download the Automated Tasks Engine from the Product Downloads area of the Ingeniux Support site.
- Install the Automated Tasks Engine. This installation must be located on the same server that hosts the Ingeniux CMS instance.
- The API Extensions Development Harness solution, containing the automated tasks project, must be rebuilt in Visual Studio.
- Edit the Web.config file associated with the automated tasks project.
- Customize the automated tasks controller(s).
You can now run the Automated Tasks Configuration schedule, execute, and log automated tasks.
Important
The Automated Tasks Engine was installed in a location external to your
CMS installation. To start the Automated Tasks Configuration
application, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\Ingeniux\Automated Tasks, and click the Automated Tasks
Configuration shortcut.
After the application opens, you can:
- Set up and schedule automated tasks.
- Configure email notifications.
- Configure and view log files for automated tasks.
- Test new tasks.
