Applying Search Navigation Taxonomy Categories

Prerequisites: Categories for DEX Search Navigation must be created. See Creating Taxonomy Categories for details to create categories in general.

For Dynamic Execute (DEX) Search Navigation to work properly, associate the appropriate taxonomy categories with Site Tree content and associate the appropriate category IDs with schemas.

Note
The following steps provide references for how to apply categories to pages and schemas in general. Your taxonomy needs may vary depending on your search navigation set up.

To associate taxonomy with pages and schemas for Search Navigation:
  1. Add taxonomy categories to the appropriate pages. See Categorizing Pages and Components for details.
  2. Add category IDs to the appropriate schema. See Associating Taxonomies with Schemas for details.
  3. Configure the appropriate DEX Search Navigation to suit your needs. See Search Navigation Reference for details.
