How to Set Page Creation Rules | Control where users can apply PCRs in the Site Tree via node-level security.
Prerequisites:
Before users can access page creation rules (PCRs), each PCR has to associate with a Site Tree node. This association tells the PCR where to place new pages in the Site Tree.
To associate a PCR with a node in the Site Tree:
Additional Info: The CMS selects the checkbox by default. If selected, the content item uses its parent's PCR settings. Repeat the steps above to access the parent item's PCR settings. Administrators may have associated the parent page with PCRs via Administration > Page Creation Rules. |
Additional Info: If cleared, the content item uses its own PCR settings rather than its parent PCR settings. The checkbox clears by default if the content item has directly associated PCRs. Children of the content item inherit the PCRs by default. |
Additional Info: If selected, users with permissions can only use the PCR in the current content item. If cleared, users with permissions can use the PCR in the current content item and applicable descendants. |
Important: Before users can access the PCR for content creation, users require PCR permissions and permissions to access the Site Tree node structure where you assigned the PCR. See Creating Groups for details to grant permissions.
