CMS 10.3+ Editing Roles

Prerequisites: CMS 10.3+ must be installed. See CMS Statistics to check the site version.

In Ingeniux CMS 10.3+, administrators can edit defined permissions in existing roles.

To edit a role:
  1. Navigate to Administration > Users/Groups > Groups.
  2. Select the user group in the Groups list.
  3. Select the role in the Apply permissions of predefined roles drop-down list.

    Only the permissions associated with the role display as selected in the Permissions area.
  4. Optional: Select or clear additional permissions to suit the group's needs.
  5. Choose one of the following steps:
    • Click the Save permissions to selected role button Save Permissions to Selected Role Button.

      The permission edits save to the role.

    • Click the Save permissions as a new role plus icon Save Permission as a New Role Button to save the edits to a new, separate role. Enter the role name and select Create in the dialog that displays.

      The CMS creates a new role with the edits.
