The GSearch feature is built on top of InSite Search to address the short-term needs of customers who are affected by Google Mini's end-of-life cutoff date. This feature is only intended for customers who require a temporary conversion from Google Mini -- as well as Google Custom Search and Google Site Search. It is not a feature that customers should adopt if they have not previously used Google Mini or other deprecated Google search solutions. DEX still the preferred service for our customers.

GSearch is a controller on the InSite Search API. This is not a new service, but search results are sent to a new end point. It produces the same format as Google Mini; however, GSearch improves upon Google Mini in its ability to return hits from Microsoft and PDF documents.
