Fonto Licensing


Prerequisites:
  • Users must have CMS administrator permissions to access Fonto Configuration settings.
  • Users must have access to their Ingeniux Fonto license key information. If you do not have your license key, contact Ingeniux Support.

To use Fonto with Ingeniux CMS, your organization requires an Ingeniux Fonto license. After installing Fonto, enter your license key information in Fonto Configuration settings. This will enable CMS users to create and edit documents in Fonto.

To register your Fonto license with the CMS:
  1. Navigate to Fonto Configuration settings for your CMS instance by appending the following string to the end of your CMS instance URL in a web browser address bar:
    /IGXFontoEditor/Home/Config

    For example, your URL will look similar to this:

    https://mycms.com/IGXFontoEditor/Home/Config

  2. Enter the following fields in the Licensing area:

    Description

    KeyEnter your license key number.
    Organization NameEnter the name of your organization associated with the license key.

  3. Click Refresh License.
    The CMS registers the license key and displays the following information:
    Max Concurrent Users
    Maximum number of users that can simultaneously create/edit documents in Fonto. If this limit is reached, additional users who open Fonto will only be able to view documents in read-only mode. Open documents in Fonto will display a strikethrough lock Strikethrough Lock with a tooltip indicating the limit has been reached.
    Named Users
    CMS users named on the license. If a user is named on the license, they will be able create/edit documents in Fonto.
    Expired
    Date and time when the registered license expires.
    Troubleshooting
    If your license expires or you encounter a validation error after entering your key, double-check your license information then repeat the configuration steps. If the issue persists, contact Ingeniux Support.

Next Steps:

  • After registering your license, verify you can edit documents in Fonto. You can do so by navigating to a DITA asset within the CMS, then opening the topic's DITA Authoring tab. Verify you can check out and edit the content.
  • Ensure your users have CMS permissions to edit documents in Fonto.
