Fonto Standalone Application

You can access the Fonto Editor as a standalone application to edit documents, separate from the CMS Assets Manager Fonto custom tab.

To do so, enter your CMS site instance URL in the web browser address bar and append the following string to the end of the URL:

/igxfontoeditor

For example, your URL will look similar to this:

https://mycms.com/igxfontoeditor

This will open Fonto in a web browser without having to open the CMS custom tab. In the editor, you can browse for a document to edit by clicking BrowseBrowse and Open a DITA File Button or create a document by clicking NewCreate New Document From Template Button.

Fonto Standalone App

If you prefer to open the Fonto standalone application without having to browse for a document, you can append the document's a/ID to the end of the URL:

/igxfontoeditor?assetItemId=a/[id]

For example, your URL will look similar to this:

https://mycms.com//igxfontoeditor?assetItemId=a/44
