Ingeniux CMS 10.5–10.6 Prerequisites
Ingeniux CMS 10.5–10.6 requires the following hardware and software configurations.
CMS Hardware
- 4x CPUs - 2.6 GHz or higher.
- Additional CPUs will improve performance.
- 8 GB RAM or more.
- Additional 8 GB RAM will be required for each ~50,000–100,000 items.
- SSD, SATA, or SCSI fast disk storage.
- Use the fastest disk possible for optimal performance.
- We recommend that storage space be at least two times the size of all content and assets with additional room for any anticipated growth over the next 12 months.
- Maintain at least 20 GB of free disk space on the application drive.
- Gigabit Ethernet.
CMS 10.6 Software
For organizations that plan to implement DITA, the DITA publishing pipeline requires at least 32 GB of RAM. Keep in mind the following factors:
- If your organization plans to store large DITA collections in the CMS, you may require more than 32 GB of RAM.
- When processing large DITA maps, the DITA-OT alone may use up to 8 GB of RAM. However, RAM utilization is typically released by Java VM. If you do not meet the RAM requirement, the server will remain out of memory until the process completes.
- Dependency building during publish uses RAM, especially when content dependencies share extensive connections.
- For published DITA content, the DSS will deserialize dependencies and cache them in RAM. This can take an additional 2 to 4 GB of RAM.
See the DITA Publishing Pipeline for details about CMS 10.6 DITA implementations. See Initial DITA Configuration for details about DITA publishing pipeline requirements.
