Publishing Assets from Assets Tree
Use the Assets Tree context menu to publish asset items.
For individual assets, the Publish action publishes the selected item. For folders, the Publish Descendant Assets action publishes the selected folder and its child assets.

To publish an asset or folder from the Assets Tree:
- Navigate to Assets.
- Right-click on an asset or folder in the Assets Tree. The context menu displays.
- Select Publish (or Publish Descendant Assets for folders) . The Publish dialog displays.
- Select the publishing target(s).
Version Notes: CMS 10.5 In CMS 10.5, the Publish dialog provides a Publishing Targets tab and Publishing Profiles tab. Use the tabs to select individual targets or profiles for publish.
- Optional: Select or clear the Perform Replication checkbox.
- Choose one of the following publish options:
- Incremental: Publishes only checked-in assets and folders that are:
- Marked for publish on the selected publishing target.
- Modified since the most-recent publish or contain modified dependencies since the most-recent publish.
Note: You can execute an incremental publish of content that is marked but unmodified. See Publishing Types for details.
- Full: Publishes all items in the tree that are checked in and marked for publish, regardless of any changes to these items.
Note: A full publish should be used for large-scale updates and should not be conducted during peak business hours.
The Publish Submitted dialog opens.
- Incremental: Publishes only checked-in assets and folders that are:
- Choose one of the following:
- Monitor Publishes: Allows you to view the pending publish.
- Close: Exits the dialog box.
