Publishing from Site Tree


The Site Tree context menu provides the option(s) to publish content from the context menu in the Site Tree.

If the page has no descendants, then publishing system displays as a single option. If the page has descendants, then the publish system option displays as a drop-down menu. The Publish drop-down menu options include:

  • Page: publishes the displayed, selected item.
  • Page and Children: publishes the displayed, selected item and its descendants.

To publish content from the context menu in the Site Tree:

  1. Navigate to Site > Site Tree.
  2. Right-click on a node in the Site Tree.
  3. Select Publish > Page or Publish > Page and Children. The Publish dialog opens.

  4. Select the publishing target(s).

    In CMS 10.5, the Publish dialog provides a Publishing Targets tab and Publishing Profiles tab. Use the tabs to select individual targets or profiles for publish.

  5. Optional: Enable or clear the Perform Replication checkbox.
  6. Select one of the following:
    • Incremental: Publishes only checked-in items:
      • Marked for publish on the selected publishing target.
      • Modified since the most-recent publish or contain modified dependencies since the most-recent publish.
    • Full: Publishes all items in the Site Tree and Assets Tree that are checked in and marked for publish, regardless of any changes to the content.

    The Publish Submitted dialog opens.

    Note: A full publish should be used for large-scale updates and should not be run during peak business hours.

  7. Choose one of the following:
    • Monitor Publishes: Allows you to view the pending publish.
    • Close: Exits the dialog.
