Multi-Format Output (MFO) allows sites to publish content in formats other than XML, using any file extension (e.g., .aspx, .php, and .jsp). Much of the work involved in configuring MFO takes place outside Ingeniux CMS. MFO requires developers to ensure that a site's XSLT stylesheets or ASP.NET views support the transformation of content to the desired file types.

After developers finish this work, administrators configure the CMS to support the file types. Administrators configure this step in the User Agents and Sites view. Each instance of MFO requires a unique user agent and site, which associates the file extension with the publishing target.
