Generate Content at AI Module 2 Page Level

Prerequisites: You must have permissions and meet the usage requirements to use Ingeniux AI Generation to generate content. See AI Module 1 Usage Requirements for details.

Leverage AI to generate content for text-based fields in site pages and components based on customized prompts and existing page information. Choose to generate content for empty fields or to enhance or replace existing content with AI-generated suggestions. With the page-level Ingeniux AI Generation module, you can choose to generate content for multiple fields at once, or you can choose to generate content for one field at a time.

Ingeniux AI Generation helps you to save time, improve content quality, and maintain consistency across your website.

To generate content using prompts with page-level Ingeniux AI Generation:
  1. Check out the content item you want to modify with AI, then click the Ingeniux AI icon Ingeniux AI Generation Icon in the utility bar to open the page-level Ingeniux AI Generation module.

  2. Expand the Prompt the AI option.
    The main fields pane expands on the rightmost side of the module.
  3. Select the fields in the main pane where you want to use AI generation. To select fields:
    • Use the quick selection options in the toolbar.

      Select AllSelects all available fields.
      Select EmptySelects only fields without content values.
    • Directly select the checkbox of each field.
    Tip
    • Click Select None in the toolbar to clear all field selections.
    • Without administrator permissions, the following fields are inaccessible for AI generation:
      • Hidden fields. They are not visible in the main pane.
      • Read-only fields. They display as inactive in the main pane.
    • Metadata fields configured in the Ingeniux AI System app are inaccessible for content generation. Instead, generate values for them in the Metadata tab.

  4. Enter your instructions for content generation in the Prompt the AI field.

    Be specific about the content you want the AI to create. For example: "Write a product description highlighting the key features and benefits."

  5. Optional: Enhance your prompt with additional instructions by completing the following steps:
    Tip
    Enhancements help you to provide supplementary keyword, topic, audience, and tone details that can further refine your instructions. The AI will consider these details during the content generation process.
    1. Click Enhance.
    2. Complete the following fields in the dialog:
      FieldDescription
      Keywords

      Indicate key terms or phrases for the AI to incorporate into the generated content to help enhance SEO and ensure the inclusion of relevant keywords. This will improve search rankings and ensure the content aligns with targeted search queries.

      For example, consider entering relevant product names, glossary terms, frequently used phrases, etc.

      Topics

      Specify the main topics, subjects, and themes you want the AI to address. This will help ensure the generated content is focused, consistent, and in line with the topics you have identified.

      AudienceProvide information about the page's primary audience. This will help to ensure the generated content is both relevant and engaging for them.
      ToneSpecify the tone and writing style you want the AI to apply to the generated content.

    3. Click Add Enhancements.
      The dialog closes, and the Enhancements area lists the types of enhancements you added (e.g, keyword, topic).
      Note
      • Click Edit to further modify your enhancements. To remove an enhancement, delete the value from the field in the dialog, then click Add Enhancements to confirm your change.
      • You can click Clear to remove all your enhancement entries at any time.
  6. Select or clear the Ignore existing page content checkbox. In order for the AI to consider existing page content during the generation process, ensure the checkbox is cleared.
  7. Click Generate to start the AI content generation process.

    The Ingeniux AI System processes your request, generating content for each selected field and indicating the character count of the new content.
    Note
    To halt the AI content generation process, click Cancel Generation. You can still apply any content that the AI generated before the process was halted.

  8. Review the generated content, then choose whether to clear, revert, or apply the AI-generated content in one or more fields:
    • To apply an action to an individual field in the main pane, click one of the following buttons within the corresponding field:

      ClearClear all content from the field, leaving the field value empty.
      RevertRevert the content within the field value. This action reverts the content to the field's original value, removing any AI-generated changes.
    • To apply an action to all selected fields in the main pane, click one of the following buttons:

      To apply AI-generated content to all selected fields within the content item, click Apply Selected Fields to Page in the bottom-right corner of the main pane.

      Revert SelectedTo revert the content within the selected field values, click Revert All in the top-right corner of the main module pane. This action reverts the content in each selected field to its original value, removing any AI-generated changes.
      Clear SelectedTo clear the content within the selected field values, click Clear All in the top-right corner of the main module pane. This action clears the content from each field, leaving the values empty.

Task Troubleshooting: If you encounter issues with content generation, consider the following factors:

  • If the Ignore Existing Page Content checkbox is cleared, ensure the content item includes sufficient relevant information for the AI to analyze, per prerequisites.
  • Try refining your prompt if the generated content is too broad or generic.
  • If you apply AI changes to a list item's text field, the changes may not immediately display in the Edit tab's Form mode Form Edit Mode Button. To view the updated field, refresh the content item after applying changes.

Next Steps:

  • Review any changes you've applied to the content using AI generation. Check the content for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. During your review, keep the following in mind:
    • Click Minimize in the top-right corner of the main pane to view the current state of the content item fields without leaving your AI generation session.
    • To close the AI module completely, click the Site Tree icon in the utility bar.
    • To manually modify field values without AI, edit [ plain text and XHTML editor directly within the content item's Edit tab.
    • To undo changes you've applied with AI along with any other changes you've made to the checked-out content, right-click the content item in the Site Tree and click Undo Check Out.
  • Optional: Generate metadata values with AI using the Metadata tab.
  • Optional: Categorize your content item with AI-suggested taxonomy categories using the Taxonomy tab.
  • Save and check in the content item when you finish.
