Viewing Details about Aliases

Alias instances associated with a selected DITA map display in the DITA the Alias Manager, which can be accessed through the Assets area of Ingeniux CMS.
To view details about an alias:
  1. Navigate to Assets > [Select DITA asset] > DITA Properties > Alias Management.
    All of the alias instances associated with the DITA map display in the table within the Manage Aliases tab.
  2. Under Examine Map, click the View Alias Structure icon.
    A read-only dialog displays, containing details about the alias's state.
  3. Use the legend at the bottom of the dialog to help you identify the state of the aliased DITA map and its dependencies.

    Content TitleContent title values are optional in the DITA specification, but they are usually necessary to identify the subject matter. A dimmed icon indicates that a value is not present for the <title> element. Hover over the icon to view the <title> value.
    Checked InIf the content item is in the "checked in" state, the Checked In icon displays. A dimmed icon indicates that the content item is checked out. If you want to know which user or group has the content item checked out, hover over the Assigned to Other User or Assigned to Group. A tooltip message with "assigned to" information displays.
    Total Marked Publishing TargetsOften Ingeniux CMS will be configured with multiple publishing targets. For example, an organization may have a publishing target for a Live site and for a Staging site. If the aliased assets has been assigned to one or more targets, hover over the icon to view the publishing target names.
    Assigned to MeAssets assigned to you displays as a solid, green icon. An unassigned assets displays as dimmed. You can hover over any non-dimmed icon to view the asset's assignment. A tooltip message with "assigned to" information displays.
    Assigned to Other UserAssets assigned to others displays as a user icon outlined in red. An unassigned asset displays as dimmed. You can hover over any non-dimmed icon to view the asset's assignment. A tooltip message with "assigned to" information displays.
    Assigned to GroupAssets assigned to a group displays as a group icon outlined in red. An unassigned asset displays as dimmed. You can hover over any non-dimmed group icon to view the asset's assignment. A tooltip message with "assigned to" information displays.
    DeletedIf the DITA map or a dependency has been referenced but deleted from the Asset Tree, the Deleted icon displays as active. A dimmed icon indicates that the content item has not been deleted.
  4. After examining the alias information in the dialog, click Close.
