Configuring Automated Tasks Configuration App


Prerequisites:

  • Download the Automated Tasks Engine from the Product Downloads area of the Ingeniux Support site.
  • Install the Automated Tasks Engine. This installation must be located on the same server that hosts the Ingeniux CMS instance.
  • The API Extensions Development Harness solution, containing the automated tasks project, must be rebuilt in Visual Studio.
  • Edit the Web.config file associated with the automated tasks project.
  • Customize the automated tasks controller(s).

You can now run the Automated Tasks Configuration schedule, execute, and log automated tasks.

Important
The Automated Tasks Engine was installed in a location external to your CMS installation. To start the Automated Tasks Configuration application, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Ingeniux\Automated Tasks, and click the Automated Tasks Configuration shortcut.

After the application opens, you can:

  1. Set up and schedule automated tasks.
  2. Configure email notifications.
  3. Configure and view log files for automated tasks.
  4. Test new tasks.
